Check/Cash Customers
Your due date is 1 month from the day you started service with TheWorks, unless you have signed up for a 3 month, 6 month or yearly plan. In which case it will automatically renew 3 months, 6 months or 1 year from the date that you have signed up, unless we are notified of any changes before your next due date. All accounts are due upon receipt of invoice, and have an absolute due date of 20 days after the anniversary date. Please print your Registration Number (which appears on your invoice) on your check’s Memo line.

Credit Card Auto Pay Customers
Credit cards are deducted AUTOMATICALLY EVERY month, 3 months, 6 months, or year depending on your plan, unless we are instructed to charge only the initial charge to your credit card. If you would like to switch to the check/cash payment method, you will need to let us know 15 days BEFORE your NEXT due date, otherwise you will be charged on your card for another FULL month, 3 months, 6 months or year depending on your plan. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide TheWorks with any updated information regarding changes in the status of your credit card including new expiration dates. Please login to our Online Billing System and choose “Update Credit Card Information” when you get a new card and provide us with the new information. Any account for which we receive a credit card dispute, is subject to deactivation with a $5 reactivation fee, and it is the responsibility of the customer to provide proof that any dispute has been cancelled.

NSF Checks
Any account holder that has a check returned to TheWorks for insufficient funds will be subject to account deactivation, a $5 reactivation fee, and automatically charged an NSF fee of $25.

Spam Abuse Charge
Any account flagged by our systems administration staff for abuse of our email system will be assessed a $500 fine and the account will be subject to automatic cancellation of service.

Changes in contact information
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide TheWorks with any changes in your contact and/or billing information. We need this information to be as updated as possible so that we may avoid unnecessary account deactivations due to nonpayment, or to contact you regarding important information about your account(s).

Long Distance Phone Charges
While we provide each customer a dialup number for online access at the time of signup, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that this number is a toll free call from the telephone line being used to connect to the internet. TheWorks bears no responsibility for long distance charges for dialup connections, as it is the direct responsibility of each customer to know their own calling plan with their phone company and to let us know if the number provided is not a toll free local call, in which case we will do everything possible to provide you with a telephone number that is a local call for you.

Canceling Service
If you need to cancel your account for any reason we must receive in WRITING by REGULAR mail, or by email to billing@theworks.com, a request for your account to be cancelled. We do not accept phone cancellations. In the event that we do not receive a written request, you will be liable for the continued billing of your account and will responsible for paying any outstanding balances that accrue. You must also make sure that we get the letter BEFORE your next billing date.

All Dedicated Circuits (T1, DSL, Frame Relay, Wireless) MUST be cancelled with a 30 day written notice before cancellation will be accepted.

Reconnection Fee
If your account is suspended due to non-payment, a reconnection fee of $5.00 per incident will be charged. It will be invoiced along with your following month’s billing cycle.
